“There is satisfaction in completion.” I received this message from my higher consciousness today and was called to make this little video where I talk about how I was plagued with perfectionism, and how through my spiritual awakening I have overcome it.
I am sharing my process of painting my beautiful dog Bindi who passed away in March from diabetes. I have reached the stage where I am invested in the outcome and before now, it is the time I would be afraid to paint further in case I ruined it.
In my discussion talking about watercolour painting, it is relatable to this journey of ascension and awakening. You have to let go of the control and trust the process. The result will be perfect including the accidental, or purposeful, watermarks that form from pigments conflicting with each other, blending or repelling at will. It is parallel to the push and pull of the sacred heart and the human mind.
The path to perfection is paved in authenticity.
